“This YA paranormal fantasy series is cute, compulsively readable and above all fun.” – The Nocturnal Library Blog

Nineteen-year-old Myla Lewis is loving life–she’s now a wife, mother, and Queen of the Thrax. Oh yeah, and being a super-powerful demigoddess who moves souls into Heaven or Hell doesn’t suck, either. In fact, everything is pretty much awesome. Until something craptastic happens.

Her honorary older brother Walker enters the Dark Lands, home to the rule-loving ghouls, and vanishes without a trace.

Now it’s up to Myla to solve the mystery of Walker’s disappearance. Of course, Myla likes interacting with ghouls about as much as elective dental surgery. To make matters harder, everyone thinks that Walker is simply taking a well-deserved vacation. But Myla and her Angelbound love, Lincoln, both suspect that the ghoul Oligarchy took Walker in order to somehow release Lucifer, the ex-King of the Angels and an all around nut job who really needs to stay locked up.

Long story short, Myla and Lincoln have just two days to rescue their good friend and stop Lucifer from taking over the after-realms. Even for them, this may be a too-tall order, especially when Myla’s own father allows his past friendship with Lucifer to threaten Walker’s future.

Perfect for readers who love angels, devils, and demons but want a fresh take on their related fairy tales, myths, and legends. This series combines fierce females, paranormal romance and urban/contemporary fantasy. Enjoy!!

My Top 10 Musical Artists

By Christina Bauer

As part of the launch tour for my new book, THE DARK LANDS, the most awesome Book Reviews by Steph has asked me to list my top 10 musical artists of all time. Here goes!

10. ELO (Electric Light Orchestra)

This group launched in the 1970’s and does amazing things with playing around with sound. Two of their songs, Can’t Get It Out Of My Head and Turned to Stone, inspired entire books for me.

There really is no way to stay in a bad mood and listen to ABBA at the same time. Just not possible, especially if the song is Waterloo.

8. Imagine Dragons

Ever listen to someone’s music and feel like you’re connected to their lives? That’s how it is for me and Imagine Dragons. Believer and Demons also inspired books for me.

7. Lady Gaga

Her early stuff is crazy-inspiring. I play Show Me Your Teeth when I need to get in the zone to write a fight scene.

6. Mozart

Especially Requiem Dies Irae. This is another fight scene prep song for yours truly. Listen to this and tell me if you don’t want to punch someone in the face.

5. Childish Gambino

Actor. Writer. Musician. I have such a crush on Childish Gambino, I can’t even tell you. This Is America is so much more than a great song; it’s a work of art.

4. Stone Roses

Another great band that always gets me pumped to write. Exceptional lyrics. Lots of girl power even though they are a boy band. Highly recommend Love Spreads.

3. James

More girl power from a boy band. Their tunes Pretty and One Of The Three inspired my work in particular.

2. Ah-Ha

I am throwing in this one hit wonder from the 1980’s because the video for Take On Me is currently inspiring my new book, ALIEN MINDS. Haven’t yo always wanted to see that music video made into a book? Thought so.

I’m ending with this band as #1 because their song Renegades reminds me why our community of writers and readers is so unique and awesome. In a world of distorted images and story telling, we are truly renegades of the written word.

Thanks so much for asking me to blog; I really enjoyed it and hope to return on my next tour!
