April TBR Pile

Hello one and all! I’m going to be working on making my comeback this month, with what my health allows. I’m signed up for tour groups again and am now ready to bring you an April TBR, may only have three books but slow and steady wins the race!

First up on the list is:

“Saving Meghan” by D.J. Palmer

Saving Meghan

Can you love someone to death?

Some would say Becky Gerard is a devoted mother and would do anything for her only child. Others claim she’s obsessed and can’t stop the vicious circle of finding a cure at her daughter’s expense.

Fifteen-year-old Meghan has been in and out of hospitals with a plague of unexplained illnesses. But when the ailments take a sharp turn, doctors intervene and immediately suspect Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a rare behavioral disorder where the primary caretaker, typically the mother, seeks medical help for made-up symptoms of a child. Is this what’s going on? Or is there something even more sinister at hand?

I won an ARC through Macmillian Publisher Gold Reading Group and can’t wait to dig my teeth in!

Next is:

“Saga, Vol. 3” by Brian K Vaughan with art by Fiona Staples

Saga Vol. 3

From the Hugo Award-winning duo of Brian K. Vaughan (The Private Eye, Y: The Last Man) and Fiona Staples (North 40, Red Sonja), Saga is the sweeping tale of one young family fighting to find their place in the universe. Searching for their literary hero, new parents Marko and Alana travel to a cosmic lighthouse on the planet Quietus, while the couple’s multiple pursuers finally close in on their targets.

I’m slowly making my way through the “Saga” series, you see I just don’t want it to end!

Now lastly I have a new adult manga:

“World’s End Harem” by Link art by Kotaro Shono

World's End Harem

The Man-Killer Virus — a lethal disease that has eradicated 99.9% of the world’s male population. Mizuhara Reito has been in cryogenic sleep for the past five years, and now awakens to an all-female world where he himself is the planet’s most precious resource. Reito is given one simple mission: repopulate the world by impregnating as many women as possible — whether he wants to or not!

To be honest I’m not sure what drove me to this series but I’m sure I’ll love it and I’m adding it to my “smut” manga’s.

Well that’s all I have to bring you for now. I’m going to go read before the world starts waking up around me. Take care all of you,  and happy reading!
